History of Lake Pichola Udaipur Rajasthan
Pichola Lake was built in 1362 AD by Picchu Banjara during the reign of Maharana Lakha, which is 3 miles in length, width 2 miles, and depth 30 feet. Later, being fascinated by the attraction of this lake, Maharana Udai Singh enlarged this lake and also built a dam on its banks.

The word Pichola means ‘backyard’ and the lake was named after a nearby village ‘Picholi’. Maharana Udai Singh was fascinated by the beauty of this lake, so he built the city of Udaipur on the banks of Lake Pichola.
