Khatu Shyam Ji Temple | Temple of Khatu Shyam ji Sikar
Lord Shri Khatu shyam Ji temple is located in the Sikar district of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan. The temple of Lord Shri Khatushyam is a holy Hindu temple.
Where the devotees who speak of the glory of Shri Shyam Baba come not only from Rajasthan or India but from every corner of the world. Shri Khatushyam Ji is considered to be an incarnation of Lord Shri Krishna.
The temple of Baba Khatu Shyam is very ancient and is considered contemporary to Mahabharata, but the present temple was built by Roop Singh Chauhan and his wife Narmada Kanwar in 1027 AD.
Was done in Devan Abhay Singh of Thakur, ruler of Marwar, renovated the temple in 1720 AD, on the instruction of Thakur. The temple took its present shape at this time and the statue was converted into a sanctum sanctorum. The idol is made of rare stones.
According to historian Pandit Jhabarmall Sharma, in 1679, Aurangzeb’s army destroyed this temple. At that time, many Rajputs sacrificed their lives to protect the temple.
Shri Khatushyam who is called the Sheesh ka Dani. And they are worshiped in the world by the name of Shishadani. Shri Khatu Shyam was known as Barbaric in the Mahabharata period.
